Championship Game Trivia

I thought I heard the FS1 announcers say that UConn has been in the Conference Championship game every year since 1993. Which raises some questions.

1. Is this true? Is that 29 or 30 straight years? If not true, which years did UConn not make the Championship game?
2. What is UConn's won-lost record in Championship games? What is their current winning streak?
3. When did UConn first make it to the Championship game? When did they win their first Conference Championship?

If you have any other Championship questions, feel free to add them.

BTW, one other streak appears to be safe for another year. UConn has not lost two consecutive games since 1993. Most other WCBB can only go back one or two years without consecutive losses. Amazing.

Worth noting? In 2004 and in 2013 when UConn did not win the conference tourney they DID win the
national championship.

That 2013 loss to Notre Dame was tough. The terrible inbound pass to Stewart which gave ND a breakaway for the final shot of the game.

Though, it made beating them in the national semi final even more satisfying.
