South Florida is down another player., Beatriz Jordao 8" 3" center from Portugal for the season. Going to be difficult from here on out for the Bulls.

I hope you meant 6'3"...

I want to watch this game to see who wins the scrum...This could be some ugly picks and bumps in the lanes tonight. UCF needs the win to cement themselves as the #2 team in the conference. Game says it's on ESPN3.

I've watched each of these teams multiple times, and I just don't see USF having much of a chance, even on its home floor. The Bulls have been a train wreck against teams with good defensive pressure (like Kentucky and LSU) and UCF definitely brings that to the table. Coach Abe has them playing hard-nosed, disciplined ball. The Knights haven't been blowing out a lot of teams, but they've been winning the games they're expected to win. And USF barely has enough healthy bodies to field a team at this point.

That is so tall!

It’s close so far.

28-26 USF with 1:05 left in half

USF actually playing like they have a pulse here, unlike in their embarrassing showing at LSU.
Freshman Sydni Harvey has 10 points at the half.
UCF leading scorer Kay Kay Wright has 14.
Expect UCF to spring the full court press in 3rd quarter.

Is the game today? I was looking at the ESPN score feed for the American conference and both games said they started 1.5 hours ago, but there is no score info at all...
Showing on ESPN3.

South Florida competed well, and was within 2 points in mid-4Q. But UCF made all the plays down the stretch and finished on a 12-1 run. UCF wins, 62-49.

Kay Kay Wright finishes right at her average with 20 points.
Kayla Thigpen was also clutch for UCF, scoring 7 points in the last 3 minutes to help seal the win.

Does UCF have any shot at the NCAA's?
Yes. They're currently in the top 20 of the RPI, and Charlie has them as a #9 seed in his latest bracketology.

UCF's problem could be a lack of top-50 wins. Not sure that wins over Villanova, Quinnipiac and Pacific will be enough. They had both Syracuse and Central Michigan on the ropes before folding in their only losses.

Their key is not - NOT - to have a "WTF" game. If those are their only losses and they lose only to UConn, I think it would be tough to keep them out. But I agree, those are not "quality" wins, just as the losses are not awful losses.

Sounds like they need to run the table in the American and make it to the finals against UCONN. good luck to them.

I don't think they have to run the table necessarily. If they lost to Tulane, for example, it wouldn't be a horrible loss. The committee makes a bigger deal out of quality wins than bad losses anyway.

In her 3rd season at UCF, Katie Abrahamson-Henderson could lead them to their 1st NCAA bid in 8 years.

In her previous 13 years as a head coach (Mo St, Albany, UCF) her teams have gone to the NCAAs 8 times, including a 1st round win by Albany in 2016. And in 3 years her teams went to the WNIT (7-2 record). Just 2 years w/o postseason!

If Florida's 2nd year coach continues to be a dud, they should give her a look.

UCF wins 62-49 but the game was close until a spurt in the last few minutes.

Kay Kay Wright looked good with a strong Mid Range game and led with 20. USF had alot of forced turnovers.
