I did a quick google. There was some talk in 2013 on a Cal message board about their coach being in Italy to recruit CZ.
Also found an article saying that she signed with an Italian pro team but not to a pro contract, so she still has NCAA elibility. Last year she played in the Italian 2nd division: http://lovewomensbasketball.com/201...signs-young-italian-star-cecilia-zandalasini/
Here's another link for a Cecilia interview and her playing. A REAL jump shot !

RW: you aren't kiddin' about the jump shot....notice the step back element as well
She is really, really good.

DD: ditto. This should be a lay up for our Head Coach. And Cal as a possible destination?? Easy to point out to Zandalasini that every California girl who can really play comes to UCONN.....Taurasi....Lewis.....Samuelson etc.so why to from Italy to Cal.....and then there is also the "mangia" factor.
OOPS - sorry.there were three squares flashing in the upper right hand corner of my computer, and s
Sorry. I could only "like" the first two.
. By the way, with reference to your BY handle, I learned to take naps from an Arkansas roommate (1 of eleven in our suite) my senior year in college. Did you have a mentor in that regard?RWV: Well, I do appreciate that one, though I'm moved to say you appear to be a little short on consistency and long on fickle. Excellent way to get your post numbers up. 2 repeats and 2 explaining the repeats. 5 posts for the value of 1.OY: more computer or operator trouble. This incomplete post was supposed to say; "Sorry, there were three squares flashing in the upper right hand corner of my computer, and something went haywire for a time....never seen those before on my screen."

\All that plus one of the finest pony-tails I've seen in years.
Many Europeans have free education through university if they qualify.Lots of good kids coming from Europe lately. I guess it's an economy thing; when the economy isn't too hot in parts of Europe, there are fewer opportunities through private clubs and early-starting professional careers.
I suppose that isn't a bad thing. They might not get paid directly as they would if they had turned pro at 18, but having a post-secondary school degree will probably help when their ball playing is done.
I k noww Geno was in Tenn this weekend
Visiting with Ms Dangerfield.

Good to know! Hot pursuit of his next great PG![]()

I also feel UCONN has a good chance at landing her. I believe itll come down to both schools tbh. Holly has been trying to keep a tight hold on in state talent. She's going all out for Ms. Dangerfield and a pretty good leaning Chassity Carter. This will be an interesting recruiting battle imo.I think UConn's chances with Dangerfield are quite good. Wish I felt a little better about Lauren Cox though.

Tea Cooper....yes they have but trust me, that still hasn't stopped Holly. I believe thats the reason why UCONN does have such a good chance at pulling her out of state.
It is impossible to avoid thinking that Geno will make Ms Zandalasini an offer that she can't refuse.
