The $200K number thrown around for a high major starter seems about right, so based on that I'm buying these responses as truth

There are 1,118 schools in the NCAA. The high major schools of D1 represent around 75 schools or the top 6% of total college athletes. Starter level players are roughly half of those players, so represent the top 3% or so. Checks out to me.
