The annual Nike Tournament of Champions is held in Phoenix Arizona every year. It attracts the "elite" girls high school basketball teams from all across the country. There’s no shame in losing a game or two in this tournament. The schools that attend this tournament are usually the top schools in their state. Many of these private schools recruit the best players in their geographical area with financial aid, or tuition free scholarships, i.e., Matre Dei (KML & Katie Lou) here in So. Cal. Most of these teams are stacked with so much talent, they only lose to other elite private schools. Most public high school teams don’t stand a chance of competing against them. Remember, Crestwood Prep is from CANADA! There were 6 divisions playing at 6 different venues this year over 4 days. [/QUOTE]
