With the abrupt end to WCBB season in March, I sort of lost touch with WCBB. Now that a new season is nearly upon us, I am back on the BY, and am SHOCKED at some of the things I am seeing. Let me see if I have this straight:


-- Muffet retired from Notre Dame? After one bad year? REALLY?

-- JMP has finally been let go at Duke and is replaced by KARA LAWSON? OMG...I love Kara Lawson. Will be tough not to root for her (except when Duke plays NC State). That is a very interesting hire.

-- Karen Aston was let go at Texas and replaced by Vic Schaeffer?

-- Nikki is still at LSU?

I really have been out of the loop...but I'm trying to wrap my head around all of this.

Behind the scenes, JPM was informed that no extension would be coming. Duke would not be firing her, but Duke would also not offer her a contract extension. At that point, McCallie had a choice -- she could either coach the final season of her contract (2020-21) or resign. She chose the latter option.

Behind the scenes, JPM was informed that no extension would be coming. Duke would not be firing her, but Duke would also not offer her a contract extension. At that point, McCallie had a choice -- she could either coach the final season of her contract (2020-21) or resign. She chose the latter option.

Well wait, I thought she was told no extension at this time though it would still be possible (however unlikely) to earn an extension in March 2021. I don’t this she was told “No, we will not extend you at all”
Or am I missing that as well?
