Ive been seeing a lot about Khadeen Carrington within these threads in the past few days. I would like to know who the Boneyarders would rather have.. Carrington is coming on & has been pretty good as of late. We know Terrence Samuel is trying to recruit him. Its been said that Jared Terrell & Abdul Malik-Abu are package deals & I know how bad some if not all of us want AMA. I would have to guess taking KC over JT puts that in jeopardy, maybe. Both are great additions but if you had to choose 1, who? Why?

jt:
-righty
-good touch
-sg ball handling and future
-ok vision
-body is college ready
-major hops
-physical
-open court beast

kc:
-lefty
-smooth and good touch
-pg project
-vision is a question. plays the 2/3 on his hs team so hes not a major ball handler
-his body is average, a year in thw wr will do wonders
-have not seen him much high flyer wise

i want both with abu, paschal and kb. that would be my 5. but who knows what the ship count will be...

I want Terrell and Abu. They look like Huskies already.

I'd say that's pretty accurate. Both are athletic, but Terrell is more powerful and athletic while Carrington is more smooth and a better shooter, IMO. Terrell has a pro body right now, Carrington is still developing his, but he has improved a ton since his sophomore year.

I would love two of Carrington, Hill and Terrell. If you had a gun to my head and I could only take one (not including ties to other players) I'd take Hill.

If Abu is tied to Terrell, take the package.

It's possible Carrington is a combo enough not to dissuade Terrell or Hill, but I doubt you can get both Terrell and Hill.

2014 has so many players Ollie is recruiting, there are a ton of possible combinations out there. If the final result includes two of these three, the class could be great.

Terrel already has a big east body. Based off his videos, reminds me of deon waiters. Kid looks legit, and would look great in a husky uniform.

terrel looks like a beast. Carrington is so smooth.

Tough choice, can't we just have both? :)

Yeah I've heard the same thing about Providence. But a lot of high profile schools are interested in Abu, so it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I would think we are leading with Carrington. He has come to see UCONN play multiple times, has talked about an official visit after the season.

Would love to get Abu and Terell to the Georgetown game next week at Gampel.

Remember , our last "package deal "was Jamal Coombs-McDaniel and AO. That turned out to be a classic love / hate relationship. Beware

I know but there was a lot of other stuff that went with it. Jamal Coombs-McDaniel thought he was better than he was and deserved to be on the court as much as his buddy Alex. We have KO at the helm now and with his approach that situation might of turned out different but if two good players/ buddies come in together , chose to play together and one rides the bench that might cause a problem.

Voskuhl and LeBlanc was another combo deal. It seems that only one of the pair works out for us in those scenarios. Regardless of what people on this board say, Oriakhi was a contributor.

It's tough especially when you have kids recruiting other kids. If one can't play at the level it becomes automatic second guessing. As far as Ao and Jamal Coombs-McDaniel are concerned they both are Uconn champions to me and hopefully they both welcomed back and excepted. Sometimes the 30,40,50 and 60 year olds forget that these guys are kids 1-3 years removed from being teen agers. You the Jamal Coombs-McDaniel doesn't regret some things?

Are we really worried about Providence? If we can't out-recruit them we've got problems.

Cooley is a very good recruiter. He is relentless in pursuing players.

Austin seems like a big win for him (see Coleman vs Lamb and Dunn vs Calhoun to judge whether it actually is or not). He made the best of Ollie's situation. PC definitely pushed the idea of Ollie not being around next year relentlessly, and UConn couldn't prove them wrong at the time. I don't know what would have happened if Ollie had gotten a contract earlier.

With Ollie having the contract there is no excuse for losing a player to PC going forward unless UConn likes someone else better.
