I saw that too-I'm thinking this is pretty much part of her treatment regiment nowadays....At about 6:25 on the clock in the 3rd qtr, The tv had a view of the bench and CD had an ice bag on her head.
Hopefully this isn't a sign of a 2024 problem for her.
I agree! For those Shakespearians " THINKING MAKES IT SO" ( Somewhere in Hamlet, right?)Please don’t start any more threads with the title Caroline’s Injury again. You scared the crap out of me. I’m not kidding.
Shakespeare? I always thought that quote was attributed to Jean-Luc Picard.I agree! For those Shakespearians " THINKING MAKES IT SO" ( Somewhere in Hamlet,
Right. The full quote is "There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." Pretty much genius in and of itself. He definitely would have been a UCONN fan!I agree! For those Shakespearians " THINKING MAKES IT SO" ( Somewhere in Hamlet, right?)
When the TV panned over to show that - it immediately gave me concern as well.At about 6:25 on the clock in the 3rd qtr, The tv had a view of the bench and CD had an ice bag on her head.

I originally thought the Jana back comment was crazy, but then I read about Aaron Rogers who was injured in Sept. trying to come back in December, (Jana injured before Sept.) and years ago some Russian gymnast tore his tendon and was back on the floor and the beam competing in the Olympics 3 months later. The articles talked about new methods to speed healing. I remember back around 1970 a Princeton basketball player tore his tendon and there was talk that meant his NBA career was likely doomed. It took him a full year to recover, but he did play in the NBA. But maybe now they can get people back up and running sooner. Who knows? Time will tell and we shall see. I expect next year, but would love to be surprised. Now if they just help Caroline (or is she now Carol?) get better slowly, but SURELY AND FINALLY, that would make me feel better.Jana back by March; Caroline injured???? Some people need to find another hobby
If Jana could come back by the end of February and get some practice in it, it would be a Godsend from heaven. Wishful thinking, but, why not. GET HEALTHY JANA!!!! GO HUSKIES!!!!I originally thought the Jana back comment was crazy, but then I read about Aaron Rogers who was injured in Sept. trying to come back in December, (Jana injured before Sept.) and years ago some Russian gymnast tore his tendon and was back on the floor and the beam competing in the Olympics 3 months later. I saw that as well. It can't be a good omen.At about 6:25 on the clock in the 3rd qtr, The tv had a view of the bench and CD had an ice bag on her head.

Careful what you post or Boreifs will challenge your fanhood. When the TV panned over to show that - it immediately gave me concern as well.
Maybe people in the know are privy to the fact that this is routine or benign, but to the casual TV fan it looks concerning.
One of my favorite players - hope her injuries are behind her.

I watched most of the interview where she spoke in depth of her rehab & preventative actions that she takes to insure that she's not exacerbating her situation (monitoring screen time, earplugs, dark glasses, etc). I view the ice bag as something that must help her with "something" when she comes off the floor. Maybe the ice is precautionary. Maybe it alleviates the sensation of something that is like a stinger. I don't know. Whatever works for her so that she can pay multiple shifts during a game is good for the team.I saw that as well. It can't be a good omen.

I agree with you that we need her to be able to at least rotate with Aubrey and I certainly hope all is well with her, However, I did think it was appropriate to point out something that no one in the media had noted-that she had an ice bag on her head, as she so often did last year.I watched most of the interview where she spoke in depth of her rehab & preventative actions that she takes to insure that she's not exacerbating her situation (monitoring screen time, earplugs, dark glasses, etc).
