I don't think we are ever going to have a problem, recruiting anyone, ever again.

we aren't going to have nearly enough scholarships
for all of the players, who want to be Uconn!!!

I say this with no arrogance or condescension towards any of the student athletes we recruit, but I think Ollie is pretty much a household name in every high school family who has a kid MCBB bound. And I suspect that Ollie will be looking for "UCONN" type of kids. I'm not sure if he will continue with his 10-toes in mantra, but I suspect he's looking not only for phenomenally talented kids, but also kids with a great attitude, who aren't afraid of hard work, who value team ball and teammates over personal accolades, and who are just all around special people.

On the women's side, there aren't a lot of recruits who are capable of being UCONN players. I suspect that the same may be a bit true for the men. Egos and attitudes are either left behind in high school, or they will have no place on a UCONN team...

Just talked with his mentor Michael Graves and he said that they are scheduling an in-home visit with coach Ollie for sometime next week.
Would love to see a new detailed blog from you with all the targets, where we stand, and what's changed since the epic run to #4! Imagine JC's recruiting if we had won it all in 1990....

On Sunday I will have something for you. I talked to many UConn recruits and got their reactions about the championship win and how it affects them.

Also, I have interview articles with Josh Sharma and Donovan Mitchell aiming in the next week or so.

Hey 3uconn. Awesome work as always. A suggestion... Actually a request... Actually sort of begging. If you know a player's position, height and class year it would be great to throw that into tidbits like this. For example "Pat McGroyne (6'1 pg, 2015) is planning a visit..."

Or even just the position. That would be so useful for dopes like me. Thanks. Your info is deeply appreciated.

Love that we're at least getting involved with these kids, but do we really want a 4 who weighs 185? DD is like 200 and he got straight up bullied at times this year. Is he more a stretch 4, more physically suited for the 3 like a Facey?

North Carolina, Kentucky and many others are hot after this kid.

I'm just saying, the only player we have right now above 220 is Rock. Maybe 247 is wrong though (they now say he's 180!).

Why do people worry about the weight of 16 year olds? Weight does not predict future basketball success. Just the opposite -- players who are lighter and still perform at a high level have more upside. As their bodies develop and their weight training improves, they can take further steps forward, whereas the big strong 16 year olds are already performing much nearer their peak.

Lots of kids gain lots of strength and size between 16 and 20. It's not a concern. Basketball talent, skill, and character matter far more than weight.
