The Canadian Pan Am Team consists of 10 players who were on Canada's 5th place FIBA World Championship for Women! Added WNBA's Natalie Achonwa. Wow! That's unquestionably the best competition
any USA team will encounter this summer. The USA selection committee clearly thought most highly of the squad members they selected for the Pan Am Games team. And although I am sure they tried to provide some balance to all three teams (Pan Am, U19, WUG) when you put together a team of all U.S. collegians to go up against women 10 years older, with vast international experience, some who are professionals, well, that says USA Basketball thinks they have one helluva team. The challenges for the USA Pan Am Team are considerable as are my expectations. Should be a great competition!
Pretty much a similar roster Team Canada lost 76-51 to USA National Team in an exhibition last year (without DT, Griner) so they are definitely tough, battle tested.
[I hate seeing Kia in a different uniform than Moriah and Stewie.
