Can we be Kansas or Kentucky?

I spent all afternoon on the sunny side (weather not game experience) today sitting among some civil CUSE fans. We talked mostly basketball. Their enthusiasm is not there for football either. I was not going to leave until the end just to set a good example. If we had recovered the onside kick and did a hail mary ..... but I digress.

I like most of you know that this clusterf&&k will not be fixed soon with or without Diaco. My wish is that we get into a P5 conference and assume the role that Kansas and Kentucky plays. They are top echelon basketball programs with terrible terrible football programs residing in a P5 conference. No one gives a crap about Kansas or Kentucky football yet they are pulling in P5 dollars.

Is this some crazy dream?
Would today's loss been easier if we were in a P5 league?

We'd be a middling P5 team at worst with the right coach.

The state of Kansas sucks. Connecticut does not. Big difference. We probably have more emos, though.
