DP is up by 7 in the 1st half in DP....DePaul has beat some very good teams at home..........THis could be a huge upset.........

44-37 at the moment - I didn't see that coming, no matter how it turns out.

I blinked twice and now 44-41.

44 all at the half.

Is the purposeful playing sound D a lost art form?

You are so right..........Who will KY beat in the top 10 giving up 44 to DePaul at the half...What is this the WNBA or the NBA?.........No wonder UCONN beats these team by 30 +

Yes...at least it is with these teams. The media is always talking about how Mitchell stresses defense, but I don't see any. Kentucky's half court defense is atrocious. Love to see UConn meet them again this year. With their size advantage in Dolson, Stewart, Stokes, Tuck, Mosqueda-Lewis and all the quick guards they have, UConn will eat this team alive.

Close (reasonably) but no cigar.

UK's just so much more athletic, don't really play much better.

You might want to cut Kentucky a little slack here. This is their first game without their best player, DeNesha Stallworth, so that could affect their defense. Also, Bruno has been pushing the ball hard this season, as DePaul is 12th in the nation in scoring (85.8 points/game).

the reason DePaul is always a bad matchup with UConn is that UConn is generally not a team with whom you want to try to win a track meet. I imagine Kentucky would be the same way, but that doesn't seem to have happened. Not the best showing by the 'Cats, even with the roster issues.

KY offense is traditionally predicated on tough harassing high risk D and turning over the opponent to fuel their get out and run O. Against other get out and run offenses this can present a challenge. Add in the loss of Stallworth and that game was going to be trouble.
