Chiney's role upon her return has been a puzzle for me since this team started gelling... very complex issues. It can never be bad to add an All-Star talent to your team, right? As you outline, BALANCE is critical. Putting Chiney in over Stricklen changes the floor balance radically. AT pushes the ball like no other forward in the league and is one of the engines powering the offense. Very tough to take her off the court. After another year off, I think Chiney will have to return slowly and will indeed be coming off the bench. She will be an amazing sub for Alyssa or JJ, but can she be happy in this role long term? Can Coach Miller afford to have this All-Star talent on the bench? Can Chiney transform her game like Nneka did? Chiney with a legit outside threat... THAT would be a game changer. I can't wait to see what Coach Miller comes up with. Another tough one is Banham. Jas and Alex just signed long term deals heading into this season. Courtney has been terrific. Rachel... not so much. I've tried to keep an open mind on her even though I totally disagreed with her selection at #4. That pick should have been JJ or Powers. With Laticia Romero reporting next season, competition at the guard spot will be fierce. Coming off the kind of surgery Rachel had, a slow recovery is normal, but the sand is running out of her hour glass. I think she needs show MAJOR progress upon reporting next season to be in the mix at all. In any discussion of the future Sun, one name will always come up... The Spanish Unicorn, Pie Grande, the Sun's Great White Whale... Alba Torrens. 'Nuff said. ☺️
