So welcome to see Nelson-Ododa take and make open shots at the top of key. Sooner than later this can be a major help to our offense in multiple ways. Now...if she learns to step into a hook shot rather than turning into the defender while holding the ball at chest-level...just imagine.

Geno knows he needs to diversify Liv's game and give her shots in places where she can succeed. She cant just keep feeding into the post strong because bigger opponents will challenge her and mentally/physically beat her up. Some easier mid range shots, fadeaways etc will open the lane more so she can get ;post position easier. Liv showed quite a bit of diverse moves getting fouled. Nice improvement in the 4th quarter

She's on track; just hasn't learned to embrace violence yet.

I think it did her game a lot of good to sit on the bench for half of the game against Tennessee and watch Aubrey do what Aubrey can do.

It seemed to me Olivia had extra spring in her step, renewed aggression and a sharper focus after she returned to the game in the fourth quarter.

Sorta like Aubrey.

Geno talked about Olivia's game in the presser. He wants her to take that 15 footer. If she can hit close to 50% it changes how defenses have to guard her. It pulls their big away from the basket and opens up the low post area. The high/ low game. Olivia is a decent passer.

Olivia's improving.

Olivia has a lot to learn. He offense consists of one move and Tenn guarded her very well knowing her one and only move. She really needs to work on her jumper. How hard is it to develop a hook to the left off of faking to her one and only offensive move to the right?Hopefully she will make a big jump for next season and incremental improvements this season like playing hard as did her freshman teammates. Most of all Olivia needs to develop what Lee Iacocca called "fire in the belly." Her competitive intensity is inadequate. See the video below start at about 4:35 end at about 6:00. Also see 11:00 to 12:00.
