The eighth biweekly edition of the 2020-21 Boneyard Top 25 poll is rapidly approaching.

Ballots are due to me, via private message, by 11:00 a.m. ET on Monday, March 1. (If you don't know how to send a PM, let me know in this thread and I will PM you first.) Please note: Ballots should reflect all games played through Sunday, Feb. 28.

Some notes and reminders:
  • Early ballots are generally not allowed, unless accompanied by instructions for contingency scenarios. All ballots need to reflect the same body of work, i.e., all games played through Sunday.
  • Please double-check your ballot for inadvertently repeated teams. This error is easy to make but not easy to catch. Here's a tip: Once you think you have your final rankings, copy them into Word, Excel or a similar program, and then sort the team names alphabetically. This should make it readily apparent if any team is listed twice.
  • Full ballots (of 25 teams) are strongly encouraged; short ballots (of at least 10 teams) are accepted.
  • No ties are allowed on a ballot. Each team on the ballot must have a unique ranking.
  • All voters are welcome regardless of fan base affiliation. The only requirement is to have a Boneyard account. Also, there is no requirement to have participated in previous polls.

Slight edit needed :)

As an aid to voters, the results for BY25 teams since the Feb. 15 poll are shown below, along with the games still to be played today.

Please remember that ballots should reflect all games played through Sunday.

(If you notice any mistakes or omissions, please let me know and I will correct.)

If a ballot submitted has games reflected through Sunday night... but one team just reflected through thursday night.. will that ballot be trashed? Just asking for a would be voter.

I guess the real question is, why would a would be voter do such a thing??

Ballots are due in about 2 hours, for what may be the last BY25 poll of the season. Selection Monday is two weeks from today.

We're not going to do a Final BY Top 25 after all tournaments have been completed?

I was thinking of putting it to a poll. People had different opinions about it, but I believe we ended up doing so last season.
Plebe, it's up to you if you want to, but I do believe that the faithful who participate in the poll would love to do one after the tournaments. But that would actually be on Tuesday next week because the AAC has their final on Monday night if I remember correctly.

You assume a AAC team would be worthy of being ranked in the final BY poll :p

Well, the AAC does have a team that has been ranked higher than 87% of the ACC almost the entire season.

The irrational idolatry of the "power 5" has ironically, for once, benefited a non-power 5 team.

Just a quick update: I am awaiting an amendment to fix a ballot with a duplicate. Ordinarily, I would proceed by effectively treating it as a "short" ballot, disregarding teams from the point of the duplication, but in this instance the corrected ballot could end up breaking a couple of ties.
