I feel a little bad for the new coach - she has been dealt a tough hand.

At the end of least season I half-jokingly said that Washington in 2017-18 might be able to compete in the Big Sky conference, but definitely not the Pac-12.

But in view of their loss by 20 to a middle-of-the-pack Big Sky team, maybe I was too generous.
