The 9th biweekly edition of the Boneyard Top 25 poll is approaching.

Ballots are due to me, via private message, by 11:00 a.m. ET on Monday, Feb. 24. (If you don't know how to send a PM, let me know in this thread and I will PM you first.) Ballots should reflect all games played through Sunday, Feb. 23.

A few rules:
  • Early ballots (before all poll-relevant games have been decided) are accepted if accompanied by contingency instructions any potentially ballot-impacting upsets.
  • Full ballots (of 25 teams) are encouraged; short ballots (of at least 10 teams) are accepted.
  • No ties are allowed on a ballot. Each team on the ballot must have a unique ranking.
As an aid to voters, the results for BY25 teams since the last poll of Feb. 10 are shown below, along with the games still to be played this weekend. (If you see any mistakes, please let me know and I will
correct.)

Any precedent for a team with double digits losses being ranked?

Happens most years by the end of the season. Stanford was ranked 15th in the AP late in the 2017-18 season with 10 losses. It was a season when we were missing Brittany McPhee and Dijonai Carrington early in the season to injuries (and thus accumulated a number of uncharacteristic losses), and then we upset-swept both Oregon and Oregon State in their houses, so it was undeniable we were much better in February than we had been in those losses in November.

Insofar as this is the first year of the BY Poll, yes, technically speaking, probably unprecedented!

You might get barred from voting in the poll you created.

It’s a good thing then, none of us get to see who Plebe voted for. For all we know, you might be the one secretly voting for North Carolina on this upcoming ballot.

I'd eat raw eggs and broccoli for a week before I put them on a ballot

Oh, I thought maybe that was the double-digit-loss team you were thinking of voting for. I was about to commend you for your objectivity :D

Ballots have started to roll in. Deadline is in about 12 hours, at 11 a.m. tomorrow.

Just a note: This will probably be the penultimate poll of the season. How time flies...

Results are now posted.

Also, please vote on when our next BY25 poll(s) should be scheduled. With conference tournaments just one week away, and Selection Monday three weeks away, I'd like to know everyone's opinions.

Cross-posting this from the main board to ensure all voters are aware:

It appears we have a clear winner: more than twice as many votes for "both (A) and (C)" as for any other option.

In that case, our next poll (#10) will be this coming Monday, March 2.

And then poll #11 will be on March 16, after conference tournaments are over.
