They played some very good offense. They scored almost 70 which is respectable --by our standards it's well above average. They competed down the stretch. They knocked down open shots. They showed much more poise than usual.

They were exposed a bit defensively.

So, if you're marking on a curve, this was one of our better games.

Our bigs couldn't handle theirs.

That is the story of the game.

And an ex-UConn recruit, Peak, who didn't come to UConn because of DHam and Prince Ali, ended up doing a job on us. While another ex-recruit, Govan, was hitting from everywhere, though in fairness, UConn flat out lost him in his recruitment.

Agreed. Team has a small margin of error. Tough for them to win when Amida plays 7 minutes.

What can you do....AB plays 7 mins, Durham not ready to play, so we had 6 players and Purvis had a bad game and still it was still a 3 falling from OT.

The lack of a full roster has cost us 4 games easily....Oh St, Auburn, Tulsa, GTown were all right there with one more play.

No comment on AB being a total no-show, eh?

Telling.

Brimah got taken out of the game by the refs. Ollie doen't protect his players. So, it's mostly on Brimah but a little on Ollie.

BTW, Brimah's first two fouls were 30 feet from the basket. Why is he out there?

Still it was one of our better efforts.

That was a great game. Who are you going to fault? Players played well both sides, the ref's did a good job. Fouls were relatively even. Seems when Ollie took Brimah out early, the team seemed to gel quickly. IMHO. They locked down Action Jackson in the 2nd half. This kid is looking better and better. I wonder if the three injured freshman were health, does that mean Jackson would have seen limited playing time? Anyway, of course a loss bothers me but they played great....on national TV. It took Georgetown everything they had to beat us. Great feeling.

the NE loss was awful, terrible and "bad."
So says you....they beat Mich St also and are 5-0 in Colonial....yes we should have won but many teams have "bad" loses in Nov.

Next game at SMU is very tough but winning that would erase this loss.....after that 3 very winnable games before @Cincy.

The team was gassed, no doubt, and that probably didn't help with the other problem, we lost about 4 of the last 5 live balls on the floor. Win one or two more of those, and we win by three instead of losing by three.

Yes, but it was an awful team, it wouldn't have been close against a top 15 team.

Looking forward to next year with a deep and healthy (hopefully) roster.

Brimah's first foul looked like he was slamming at an early 80s Black Flag show.
