UConn over Michigan: 72-69
Vanderbilt over Michigan: 72-69

Does this mean Vanderbilt is as good as UConn?

UConn over Louisville: 79-66
Louisville over Notre Dame: 79-66
UConn expected to beat Notre Dame by at least 26?
They outdid what the numbers suggested: 85-47, 38

Should one rely on numbers?
Let's be kind: It depends......

It seems that Vanderbilt has put it all together this year and is having a spectacular year. I don't find that so remarkable as Shea was with Geno for years and I assume she follows his philosophy of the game to achieve what they have. I wish Shea continued success the rest of the year. One caveat , There can be only ONE!!!!! UCONN!!!!!!!

Vandy is a very good team. Shea has been doing excellent work. They are also an unbalanced team with weaknesses the top teams will exploit. We’ll begin to see this in the next few weeks. LSU almost exposed them, but for their own weaknesses.

I root for Vandy and for Shea. They have to run the gauntlet (eight ranked teams left on their regular season schedule) the next few weeks but it will be good entertainment for sure. I do expect that they will suffer their 1st loss against SC on Monday.
