Buffalo drops Rutgers

Good win for Buffalo. Unfortunately, teams from the Power5 conferences pulled out several close games : Iowa 66-61 over Mercer, Missouri 77-76 over Drake and FSU 70-67 over Bucknell. A few 1st round upsets might have caught the attention of the committee.

I know that this Buffalo team was in the same position they were last year, but I saw more enthusiasm on the UCF bench during a 20 point loss than I saw with this team throughout the game in an 11 point victory. Kind of surprising to me.

I saw in Q1 that Noga Peleg Pelc (Rutgers Player) seemed to go down in Q1 with a knee injury (non contact). Any info on her prognosis?

Those were exciting finishes, would've been nice to see at least one upset. I was a bit surprised to see Clemson pull away from South Dakota for a 79-66 win.

Also although it wasn't against a P5 opponent Rice came up just short against Marquette today.

I wasn’t Clemson is a sneaky good team.

Im not surprised... South Dakota hasnt faced a backcourt like Clemson's all year long.

This year has not been very successful for making the case that there should be more mid major teams and less middle of the pack P5 teams in the field.

She had a splint of some kind on her ankle and was on the bench for the second half. Couldn’t put any weight on it. Looks serious but hope for the best.

Rutgers was bigger and more physical but Dillard and company were more skilled on the offensive end. I knew Dillard could score but she is also a very good passer. A lot of their offense goes through her, she has the ball a lot. Rutgers tried to double her on the perimeter and she was good at getting out of trouble. Will be interesting to see how Geno deals with her.

There were two "upsets"...if one goes by their seeds, #10 Buffalo over #7 Rutgers and #10 Indiana over #7 Texas...or was the Texas loss expected?

Bucknell game a great example of how a small but disciplined team can overcome a Power 5 school. Fun game to watch. A lot of respect for Bison team and their coach but could not pull it off.

and how did that end?
Lol. Really the post season is a reward for teams. It's a great experience. The joy of success and the crushing pain of defeat.

Mr. T? Do you have a prediction for what Buffalo will experience on Sunday?
