Nice article on DePaul's accomplishments and goals for the future.

“We’re proud of what we’ve achieved,” Bruno said. “I don’t know if the nation understands what we’ve achieved. We here in Chicago kind of do, but across the nation doesn’t really get what we’ve achieved here. But we’re here to fight, to compete with the best of them (ahem UConn UConn ). We haven’t done that yet. You are what your record says you are, and we’re a really good college basketball team that does it the right way, does it with ranked academic teams every year, but we still have another level, and that’s the highest level to climb.”

Still, they lost alot to graduation. What are their chances of being in the top 25 next year?

They'll really miss Campbell and Stonewall. Campbell ran Bruno's system to perfection, as evidenced by her absurd 6.28 A/TO ratio and 6.1 APG. She also led the team in RPG. She ran the team so well, and was incredibly valuable. Stonewall was their go to scorer, took a lot of shots, and was a great defender.

They do return Sonya Morris, Lexi Held, and Deja Church as returning starters, They also add a really good player in Darionne Rogers who is a 5-star. Seems like regardless of who they lose, they're always right around a top-25 team.

Good to know. Pulling for them within reason.

They also have Morris' high school teammate, Marissa Warren, who helped lead her team to the Missouri State championship her senior year. (Incarnate Word-Napheesa's high school) Warren will be a sophomore. She is quick, fast, and a good ball handler. She should be effective in their press. She did not play much this past season.

Kelly Campbell was so underrated. That A/TO ratio is just insane.

Stonewall was also their sole anchor in the interior and, similar to Campbell, provided a strong calming influence. I'm concerned about who will supply the interior presence and rebounding in her absence.

That said, I actually thought they lost at least as much last season (Grays and Millender were the #1 and #3 scorers, and Allen and Dahlman were also significant contributors), and yet they had a better season this year. Doug always finds a way to get new players to step up and keep the train moving.
