Bruins say Good Bye to Chara

Sad day in Boston and all of New England. Bruins told him they were going younger. Chara signed with the Caps for $795,000. 22 years in the league, 15 in the Black & Gold. He has a non stop ticket to Toronto. His time on the ice stats are crazy. 30 minutes per game during his prim, almost 24 minutes per game for 22 years.

Geez. Tough 2020 for us Boston sports fans - losing Brady, Chara & Mookie in 1 year! Mookie has already won another Title & Brady is back to his old form.

Rangers fan here, but Chara is one of my favorite players to watch. Just beats the crap out of everyone and it doesn't even look like he's trying. A true legend and future hall of famer.

It was time. He was a great player for a long time, but he no longer has anything on the offensive end and they have a lot of young defenseman who need ice time. I’m not sure his current style of play is a fit for the Bruins system. They want faster transitions and Chara had become fairly slow at that.
