Mike Anthony caught up with Cam and his brother Pat. Good article.
Cam last season petitioned the NCAA for an extra year of eligibility, trying to return to the Huskies this season, but was denied.
“Wanted to make it happen but I'll be a Husky for life, for sure,” he said. “I think they have a ton of potential. Obviously the best coaching staff in the country. A lot of new pieces, new faces, new guys, new roles. They're trying to put those pieces together, this team. There’s nobody better to do that than Coach Hurley and that staff.”

You look at the journey of these guys since their senior year in high school.
Nothing about Pat's senior year #s hint at NBA playing time. Granted if there was a chance he probably plays college basketball despite his love of lacrosse and being an all time great. Nor do the #s of his only year in college basketball stand out.
No college wanted Cam. As they say, started from the bottom. Wish I could say Uconn developed this kid #s, but he had equivalent #s at Rutgers against very good competition. Of course he learned a ton of stuff here as well.
Really is an amazing moment they shared. Against all odds. You talk about blood, sweat, tears, and injuries, that's all Cam. Perfect player for Calhoun/Hurley.
I see a lot of the same qualities in Liam, the versatility, desire, IQ, and ways to beat you other than 3 point shooting.
