it's a shame he never won a state championship. should have beat woodland in '05. Brookfield has to be one of the least talked about state powers. they're very much like UConn basketball where there are some bad years between titles

I'll be there and hope to watch from behind the red line like his Dad and I used to do at The Rent.

I took almost 3 full home games for the idiot I'd been high five-ing every odd Saturday to tell me Scott was his son.

If he didn't have the injury bug he would probably still be in the NFL. Probably the most instinctive LB in recent history for the Huskies. Incredible nose for the football. Congrats to Scott and his family.

I don't love this for high school kids. Put up a plaque in the gym or something in the trophy case. But as a Harvard prof once said when they proposed retiring a player's number "I'm against it until they start retiring the best students' exam books too." Nothing against Lutrus. Excellent player and good guy too. But it is inappropriate at the high school level in my view.
