Counting the overseas trip and the EX games, this squad is about mid-way thru the season. Putting some salve on the ND bruises, I'm liking:

FARIS: though I'm a pros and cons kind of man, it is hard to find any cons re Kelly this year....from leadership to all aspects of the game itself, she has shown improvement in virtually every category...and in lots of them, she didnt need much improvement. Her graduation will be a huge loss.

LEWIS: She DID need improvement, and she is certainly delivering, BIG time. What a fine season thus far. And I think she will get better still. Seems to have her head on really right.

DOTY: So happy for her to be finishing up this way. Am surprised with how mobile she is a this stage. Another big loss in many ways when she departs. Hope the squad will use her and the other seniors as yet another driving motivational force to bring home the NC for those in their final year.

BANKS: Another one showing a whole lot of growth. What is the issue re playing time? I just don't get it. Find it close to impossible to believe she isn't "practicing hard and well."

DOLSON: Her improved conditioning just in itself a huge plus. For those more knowledgeable, aren't there training techiques that can be used to promote agility and nimbleness (a word?).....think football teams use such tools these days....and think such could advance her game even more.

Surely, Stewart and others are bright spots, but these would be my top five best surprises for now.

CONS: Injuries are wreaking havoc up and down the shortened bench...let's hope this trend doesn't continue...

Very good point. Stokes Tuck and MJ need alot of playtime to catch up to where they should be at this point in the season. We will need them up to speed in March. Add BB and Breanna to the list of getting more playtime too and if everything goes according to plan when March rolls around we are gonna be alot better.

Don't forget that KML has missed playing time, and Doty sat out much of the first half of ND game. There have been a few more injuries and missed playing time than in years past.
