Win this game and Gonzaga could just about end the conference race already. Up 2 games on BYU and beat them in the first meeting in Provo, next closest teams are 4 games back. I can't see any way BYU would make up a 3 game deficit on the back half of the schedule. Now if BYU wins on the other hand, things could get interesting. But I think GU is running the table so it's kinda moot anyway.

Gonzaga has been less than impressive in quite a few of their WCC games. Trailing BYU 12-7 early in Q2. I'm not sure they are as good as their record indicates (21-1). They play stingy defense but they can be offensively challenged.

GU got within 2, but now it's 22-15 BYU w/ about 3 minutes til halftime.

Gonzaga's Katie Campbell goes down with a knee injury on a breakaway layup. Went down writhing in pain and was helped off putting no weight on it

Campbell was Gonzaga's savior in this game, had 17 points on 7 of 10 shooting plus 5 steals.

Nothing worse than seeing a senior's season end with an injury like this

BYU has no offensive identity. They too frequently try to throw over the top lobs that rarely get through. Boy do they miss Gonzalez.

Wow, bad break for GU. They had a pair of key players injured at the very end of the regular season last year.

Well, their offense has been enough to put them comfortably in 2nd place in the WCC. Not a good conference after Gonzaga, I know, but they could be a lot worse.

Their offensive identity in this game, at least, was just give the ball to Drollinger and let her go to work.
