Preventing Injuries - Link

Wonder what Olde Coach thinks about his comments on running for endurance during pre-season conditioning. Don't the men and women have to run mile(s) prior to the start of training. His comments seem valid that maybe its not the best measure for basketball players.

For those that don't know Brian is one of the many that evaluate players.

I would argue that basketball is a sport of speed and quickness and aerobic endurance. Many of his points are well taken and the video of the drop box tests is very enlightening. The valgus tendency of jumpers and landing toward a knock kneed position vs knees over toes is very clear and it wouldn't surprise that this is a vulnerable position for landing.
