did she impress you or should she be on the bench because she turns the ball over too much

Forced some things in the first half but late in the half and throughout the second half she was SOLID.

Bria was the difference along with KML

+1 along with Stef's work on defense (actually everybody played good D, but Stef was outstanding)

We have to have Bria out there. She is really our only other scoring threat. They need to get the ball to Stef more and Bria is still not a true point guard, but she has ice in her veins. Turnovers don't seem to bother her, which is both frustrating and also the sign of a great scorer.

Yea, I'm still on the "Bria is our best player" mantra. KML was fantastic. But Bria, IMO, was better. Unbelievable game by her.

She's going to make mistakes sometimes. I don't know why people are harder on Bria when she does (actually, I've got a guess), than anyone else.

And Bria could play like a "pure point guard" if she wasn't needed as much for scoring. She's not as smart as Doty is, yet, but she's got all the talent to be a fantastic point.

I love Bria's little hang-time layups. She makes it look so easy but that is really tough! She can hang in the air until the defense flies by and still get the shot off. She has gotten stronger, too.

I'll second that Bria had a great game and she gets the team going.

Bria is similar to the halfback that gets you 5 yards every time she carries the ball and who you can always count on to pick up tough 3rd down yards to keep a drive alive, win games and championships with. Her defense is under rated as well, that's why Geno never takes her out...39 minutes, 19 points, 4 assists, 3 steals, 3 boards and only 2 TO's. She's a constant offensive threat to shoot or penetrate and her "D" is stellar. The kid is a WINNER and I love her moxy.

Bria has obviously made the sophomore jump, and knows the kind of work ethic you need to have in order to be strong and effective the whole game playing 39 minutes, as pointed out above.

She missed her share of shots like the rest of the non-Lewises, but it never affects her. To her credit, she just keeps on trying, keeps on going to the hole, keeps on moving.

Her defense isn't defined by foot speed but by fast hands and effort. Her steal and breakaway in the 2nd half was classic.

Pardon me; she is NOT our "only other scoring threat". For whatever reason, Tiff and Caroline and Kelly could not hit their shots tonight, and Stef only took four; she was kind of busy playing defense, and the O sisters are a leetle hard to score on inside. But they are ALL scoring threats, as is Bria. There is a long season ahead. Don't get carried away by the results of one game.

that play where she got the steal and had the STanford player right on her shoulder, then stopped to let the defender blow by and make a nice short mid range bank shot was a thing of beauty.

Me too.

Re: "Dairyair" avatar - it reminds me of a story an art history prof told as a joke on herself regarding art history analysis of a detail blow up of a Dutch landscape, I think (cows in the field...)
