Finally, a win!!! -The thing I was most impressed with was our overall defensive. Ball pressure and switching was some of the best I've seen from the squad this year. And Josh did a decent job rim-protecting. If we didn't give up so many ORebs, this would have been a blowout victory. -Josh had a great game. It's clear that his upward progress this year is not going to be linear (it rarely is for most players), but this was another nice step in the right direction -BAdams is looking more & more comfortable on offense. Both of his 3pt looks were spot on, just didn't fall. One of them went ~3/4 down...not sure how it lipped back out. Played tough D...which is one of the main reasons he's seeing more playing time -Sid continues to be an enigma wrapped in a paradox. After a nice 3-4 game stretch that looked like his "breakout", he's now had 3 stinkers. -Tarin has at least 2 plays a game that drive us all crazy, but objectively, he's stepped up nicely with Jalen/Al out with injuries. Since AG went out in the WSU game, and excluding the SMU debacle game (where everyone was out to lunch), he's averaged 10.2 ppg, shot 14-18 (78%) from the line, averaged 3 Reb, and has had 28 AST / 11 TO (2.5:1 ratio). His D is top-notch too. Can't realistically ask for much more from an A10 grad transfer. -CV coming off the bench isn't working so far. This was his worst game in terms of forcing offense wayyyy too much. Jacked up at least a couple 3's early in the shot clock, forced at least 2 horrible drives (one of which he scored on). -AG had a really nice game. Shaking the rust off. - 3/35 from 3pt range was quite the homage from both teams to the recordholder for most made NBA 3's. Yuuuuuck! I think we beat Temple. Might be crazy-talk (or the IPAs talking), but whatever! Double IPA Award - Josh IPA Award - Alterique Session IPA Award - Tarin (mainly for his D) Imperial Stout Award - Josh (think he had 2 or 3 dunks? May have been a career high) Sour Farmhouse Ale Award - 3/35 3pt shooting from both teams. Also, the one announcer on at least 4 occasions, gave his impression of a call such as "oh that was definitely a foul" "Carlton grabbed him...didn't need to do that". Then, the replay showed something entirely opposite from what he thought he saw (Carlton's arm actually got wrapped up by the offensive player initiating the contact/grab). Never once acknowledged he may have been wrong in any case. Crickets. Cheers, Boneyarders!!!!
