Tonight’s game was a bit like that skunked Natty Light you forgot you stashed in the trunk of your old beater car during high school...

Positives:

—We played hard on defense. Forced 24 TOs, had I think 9 blocks.
—CV brought great energy on D and had an OK offensive game
—Sid made some nice steps tonight. Looked comfortable, very active, aggressive, and in control
—Yakwe good defensive energy
—Tarin sure knows how to finish at the rim!!!

Negatives:

—We were cold cold cold from everywhere pretty much all night
—Jalen? Jalen? Are you with us? Seemed totally out of it.
—AG still with too many over penetrations and TOs
—Cobb was MIA...weird stuff with him and Carlton and strong/weak teams

We need to drink many beers after this one so:

—Double IPA Award - CV
—IPA Award - Carlton
—Session IPA Award - Tarin
—Imperial Stout Award - Sid for the sweet putback jam
—Sour Farmhouse Ale Award - Jalen

Cheers!

I like this. Had a neighbor in CT that brewed. The guy is VERY good at it.
But every time he made a "farmhouse ale".... we'd ask him, whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

I mean, good grief, why would you make something like this - on purpose??:

"In general, a beer that falls under the farmhouse ale designation will have a bit of a funky flavor, kind of like wet hay or earth. "

And, usually low alcohol content. So, you end up with that great combo of...not enough abv to catch a buzz, but at least it tastes like dirt. (almost thinking a sour farmhouse ale might taste better than a fresh one)

Sometimes I’ll get one in a flight if I’m at a new brewery to get an idea of the brewer’s skills at making accurate representations of various beer styles...but if given the choice of a farmhouse and just about any other non-American adjunct lager style, I’ll choose the latter 24/7.
