Brenda Frese appears to have mellowed. But I heard her say that she would like to play UConn "a hundred times." But, didn't UConn used to play Maryland in the regular season, and blew them away? How many times did we play them? And didn't Maryland decide to discontinue the series? I'm sure Geno would be more than willing to schedule them again.

She hasn't mellowed, she was secretly planting a message about conference realignment.

Uconn I think only played one home and home with Maryland, and yes it was not renewed prior to last year and I believe because Maryland wasn't sure about being in the Big10 and what that would mean. I would be happy to see that series restarted - like her or not, Maryland has been a good program for a while and I think is generally better coached than UNC for example.

Yes i heard this too and the first thing that came to mind was, "that's a lie!!! Shes the one that didnt renew the series." Sometimes she just says things that she shouldn't say because people know better.

She wasn't doing it secretly. She's been saying all season that the B1G should have taken UConn, as well as MD and Rutgers. What she fails to understand is that CFB is the "straw that stirs the drink" and no matter how successful UConn is in WCBB and NCAAM it's no comparison to the behemoth that is CFB. No one wants UConn FB and it's facilities and low attendance. They don't move the needle, so realignment isn't in the cards for them until they significantly upgrade their FB Program.
