Also, some of you might look at some of these comics and say who’s that - but the nature of the expansion of media has really changed stand up to wider variety of small stars with fan bases that appreciate their styles. I’ve been on shows with some of these comics ten or so years ago when I was doing stand up, and they are better than you realize. Few roasts can reasonably be caught via the camera - in fact the only recent special that would make me laugh out loud was Kurt Metzger’s 30 minute special from about 7 months ago.
