I don't know how legit this is but the Recruit Scoop dude (Alex Kline) retweeted him:

Per DMcDonaldHoops: Uconn transfer Mike Bradley will be making a decision soon between Belmont, Stetson, VCU, and Western Kentucky.

Not surprising, he avg 6 pts in HS, it baffled me he was even recruited and didn't he pick UConn over Drake?

Will be an interesting year, hopefully Hayes joins.

By all accounts this is a really bright kid, and he may one day be a great pharmacist (that's what he's going to school for, no?), but apparently geography isn't in the pharmacy curriculum and he isn't too good at it.

For a guy who wants to transfer to be close to an ailing family member he sure picked an odd couple of schools.

I may not be a great geographer myself, but I at least own a map and it tells me Stetson and VCU are both 9+ hour drives from Chattanooga, TN...

I believe his geography skills might be a bit better than yours considering it is a mere 16 hours to Storrs from Chattanooga

Uconn players are required to be on campus during the summer to take classes, which may or may not be the case at VCU or Stetson. So he could presumably be with his grandmother all summer if he transfers.

My geography skills are just fine thank you.

The distance between Chattanooga and Storrs is irrelevant to my point.

My point is that it's odd a guy who is transferring to be close (notice I'm using the word close, not closer, which is why your post is non-sensical) to a sick relative chose two schools in his final four that are nine hours away from home. The proximity to Chattanooga from Storrs has nothing to do with it. I'm not failing to see that he's going closeR to home, I'm failing to see how, should he choose Stetson or VCU, he'd be going CLOSE to home.

If you really hated your boss, would you announce on your letter of resignation that you were leaving the company because you hated your boss? Maybe you still beleive that it was Bradley's idea to give up his scholarship? Maybe you still beleive Drummond was being a good guy by giving it back? Maybe you beleived Drummond when he said he was sticking around another year? Huh, I don't kow.

To be able to get to her 'anytime' by car (which is most convenient for a college kid) may be considered close, especially if it takes one day. Its his definition not ours, there is no right or wrong, or definitive answer for that matter.

My daughter lives 120 miles away, close to me but to far for her mother. Who's right?

Fair point, Kitaman.

I suppose I don't consider the distance between Hartford and Virginia Beach (to give a more relevant example for most people on this board) close, but hey if Bradley considers DeLand, FL and Richmond, VA in the neighborhood of Chattanooga, TN, then it's his gas money.

If Bradley's issue was only about his grandmother then he could take a leave of absence from UCONN for a semester to be with her. There's more to it as is becoming all too apparent from other kids leaving. Man, this kid will be a senior age-wise before ever getting into a college game.

I don't know why I just thought of this, but what if Calhoun is encouraging the players to transfer in order to give him inside information on the coaches to see if they would be a good replacement.

Just a thought.

I heard Lamb and Drummond were encouraged to go pro to see if Rick Adelman or Mark Jackson would be viable candidates. Kemba has given Calhoun a detailed report on Paul Silas already.

I don't know why I just thought about this either, but I'm pretty sure that it was you who stole my last tube of Reynolds Wrap...
