Does anybody think one of these guys could possibly emerge? Seems like we've lost Oriakhi and we know Drummond could be next. Either way, one of these two big dudes will be forced to play at some point I'd imagine. Just wondering what people thought the possibility of their developments could be.

From all available information, I'd have to go with Bradley.

Definitely not Wolf. I think Bradley has a shot to be a decent player. Hes got a good body for a 4 and I guess he looked good in summer league last year. I dont think Wolf ever has a shot to do anything

I don't know why but this made me chuckle. Kid who hasn't played in two years versus a kid who has played maybe 40 minutes in a year and a half. They could be OK, but really can't expect anything.

I expect Wolf to have a Pittsnogle like season. JC is going to turn him loose from beyond the arc.

Um.... No.

now that the AO transfer is for real, ive given it some thought and i would not mind having a smaller overall look. DD and RS having a summer off can be huge and given they both improve, i can see them rotating with TO as the 4 and 5. i mean marquette and louisville (and arguably cincy) both play small (-er than average) and look how their seasons have turned out

Yes, but Marquette has one of the best players in the country playing at the 4 and Cincy has Gates.

jae crowder and djo are beasts for sure, but if theres anything you all love talking about on here its about JCs ability to get the best out of his players. do you think that neiher RS nor DD have a shot at being great players next year? i think DD is just waiting for his chance to explode. ive liked him as a player since i first saw him in october in gampel. if he busts his ass in the gym and puts on 10 lbs of muscle he can be a freak. hes already more of a finesse player so he alreay has the base talent to develop good post moves. i think i he is ready to be our georgi dieng (however its spelled): not a huge play maker who wins BE POY honors, but is a fundamentally solid, agile guy in the paint

Olander can more than hold his own with another offseason of training. He is definitely ready for a starting role at the 5. Roscoe will blossom as a junior playing 30 mpg. We'll need just 10-20 minutes from Bradley and Wolf unless we get into foul trouble in which case we could go small.

Seriously the biggest problem for this team won't be bodies or talent, it is an inability to execute offensive sets. If they can somehow learn to do that (doubtful) they will be just fine. If they can't, well then expect a trip to the NIT.

MB just because we havnt seen him play yet. Unfortunately I dont see wolf even having a Chuck like impacted at the end of his career. One benefit of having wolf here is atleast he keeps Giffey company and possibly keeps him from getting homesick and going back over seas. Also it doesnt hurt having a 7 footer around for practice purposes. If our guys can get shots off during practice against Wolf they can get it over anyone in CBB for the most part.

HUH?? DeAndre Daniels like Gieng?? Sorry but that's just a terrible comparison. I don't know what your seeing but Dieng is almost 7 feet tall and very raw offensively. He is a pure center. Daniels is around 6'8" with real offensive talent and ball handling capabilities. He is small forward/power forward like Roscoe but with better handles. Very easy to observe he can handle the ball when you watch him play. Not the greatest but he can do it. I see Daniels being more like Buford on Ohio State after a couple years of development. That would be if he reaches his full potential though. To compare him to Dieng not only under rates his potential but also is equivalent to comparing apples to oranges. They play completely different positions and have entirely different skill sets.

Saw Bradley play at Hartford pro am. Very big. Athletic to a point. Wolf has no chance. Bradley can contribute if coached up, ceiling is higher than okwandu (not that that's saying much) but chuck helped bring us a ring.... So yeah let's hope Drummond stays.

As long as Wolf keeps his grades in good order and has no trouble off of the court, he's okay by me, but don't expect him to be a star.

obviously im not making the comparison right now. i think if he put on some solid muscle he can play similar style as dieng, not BE him.

Does the name Marc Suhr ring any bells?

comparing daniels to Dieng is an insult to Dieng. Dieng plays a different position and is a great college player all ready. He will be a first round pick for sure when he leaves maybe even in the lottery. Daniels will be lucky to be as solid as William Buford is let alone to be as good Dieng.

Its a terrible comparison whether your making it now or 5 years into the future. Why are you comparing a SF to a C?

Wolf has been available for 3 semesters and has barely played. Bradley has been unavailable these past wo seasons.
What this tells me is Wolf hasn't showed the coaches he can play yet. Bradley is an unknown. I guess I would go with the unnown at this point.

Daniels isn't a "power" anything. He's a skinny, yet oversized wing who hasn't shown the quickness to play the perimeter but clearly lacks the strength to play in the post like Roscoe can.

If DD works on his handle, his shot, and his lateral quickness, he can be a productive starter at the 3 alongside Roscoe at the 4 and G*d-knows-who at the 5.

I would think Daniels would compare better with Kris Joseph (if you are going for current BE players who are remotely similar in body type) than Gorgui Dieng. Dieng is a center, Daniels will never be a center, or at least won't be without a growth spurt and about 50 more lbs. Dieng's listed measurements are 3 inches and 40 lbs over Daniels listed measurements.

Joseph and Daniels even had similar freshman years statistically. Slightly different, but similar.

  • Joseph played a 1.5 more minutes a game and 3 more games.
  • Joseph shot more shots inside the arc, but they shot similar 2PT%'s (DD 19/41 = 46%, KJ 37/77 = 48%).
  • Daniels took more 3PT shots and shot a slightly worse percentage (DD 12/51 = 24%, KJ 7/26 = 27%).
  • Daniels was much better from the foul line, but only had half the attempts (DD 20/25 = 80%, KJ 21/52 = 40%).
  • Both averaged around 3PPG, 2RPG, .5 APG, 1 PFPG and .8 TOPG.
  • Daniels blocked about 10 more shots, Joseph had 19 more steals.
  • They both are about 6'7-6'8 (though it wouldn't shock me if DD is slightly taller now), KJ is listed at 215lbs and DD at 195, but I imagine KJ was skinnier as a freshman.
  • I would say they even have similar handles, or DD has a slight edge.
Joseph never exploded like most Cuse fans wanted him to, but he is the second best player on their team this year as a senior.

I want Wolf! Not too many things are more intimidating than going one on one with a wolf. If any of you have seen The Grey you'd know that.

Finally, confirmation that you're just around with these moronic posts. This one can't be serious.
