I hope we get him as he has a world of potential. However, is this the state of college hoops that even a guy that's played one year of high school ball and is not one of the elite recruits feels the need to say he plans to stay in college at least two years. A tiny percentage of D1 players even make the NBA but it seems every recruit has visions of making the quick buck. Do any recruits plan on spending four years in school anymore? The NCAA needs to change with the times and stop holding teams hostage to graduation rates.

I can't even find this kid on ESPN. Does anybody have a scouting report from a credible website?

Hayes has the inside track cause he's 6-11 and you can't teach size, but I totally agree with you. Maybe the NCAA sees the NBA as competition. I would prefer to see players stay 3 or 4 years.
