Since there are multiple releases within a week, between ESPN (2), HHS, and The Athletic, I'm changing up the thread title so we only have one this week. UConn now in bracket #4 as a 2 seed. NCSU back in, Alabama out of the top 16. ESPN Link here.

Big Ten - 13, SEC - 10, ACC - 9, Big 12 - 7, Big East - 2, Ivy - 2

I may have said this last week but if not…. Pretty stunning for Iowa st to be last four in

Notice how the bubble is so soft that Texas A&M, despite being generally awful, has now entered the outer fringe of the bubble picture with quality wins over Ole Miss and Kentucky.

Today's update from The Athletic. Hey @YoDore Kentucky out of the top 16, Vanderbilt (!!!) in. UConn still sitting in bracket #2.

Again, I don't think this would fly because NC State as the 4th team from the ACC cannot be placed with Duke and would have go into SC's regional.

Similarly, Maryland in this projection is the 4th team from the Big Ten and would have to be in ND's regional.

Whichever team between Oklahoma and Vandy (probably Oklahoma at this point) is projected as the 4th team from the SEC would then have to be the 4 seed in UCLA's regional, with the 5th team going with USC.

I love it if UConn is #2 to USC's #1!
Of the 4 potential #1's USC to me is the weakest!
I think the game against SC will tell you a lot about where UConn is as a team. They won't match up well with UCLA but other than them I think they are fine if they are healthy and everyone plays.

UConn has one big game left and that is with South Carolina. If they win that game they will be on the top line and most likely would be behind only ND and UCLA so they could get a good 2nd seed in their region too. To me this is the best time of the season where a loss or a win will make a difference in the seeding.

and right now Id have KY above both
maybe a scheduling quirk but Cats tied for 2nd and 2 games up on 5th place Vandy/Miss. Okla is 3 games back.

Even with a win, UConn is unlikely to jump SC or USC as is. Would need some USC losses to move ahead of them.

SC is locked into a 1. They have too many high quality wins.

Conference standings can be misleading. Gotta look at who they’ve played and who they’ve beaten. But for sure KY is in the mix.

Edit. Kentucky’s schedule is definitely backloaded. Six of their 8 games so far were against the bottom half of the conference. They do have wins over Vanderbilt and Alabama but also lost to TAM.

Aaaannnnd here is ESPN's update, because of course, I forgot today was Friday. No movement in top 16 teams.

No changes to bids: Big Ten - 13, SEC - 10, ACC - 9, Big 12 - 7, Big East - 2, Ivy - 2

KY and Iowa about to enter brutal stretches. These forecasters don't hazard guesses about upcoming games, rather go with a snapshot of right now.

KY has OU, MS, TX, LSU, TN, SC as 6 of their closing 8. How they handle this will define their season.

Iowa's finish could still knock them all the way out. They have USC, MN, NB, UCLA OSU, MI in 6 of their last 8 and are currently 13 of 13 Big10 teams in dance.

Never a dull moment this year in these huge new leagues.

Lose against Little Carolina and you run the risk of being passed on the seed line by some riff raff like Ohio State or Duke.
