Top half of South Carolina’s looks dramatically tougher. 8/9 is a veteran postseason power team either way and both of them recently played South Carolina. 4 is Maryland, 5 is a road game. Shocked they put Bama in Birmingham. Decent matchups for South Carolina, but still.

Duke-North Carolina seeded at 2/3. LOL. I hope they get to meet each other. Don’t see the 6 or 7 posing a threat.

Committee loves giving South Carolina rematches.

Thought UCLA deserved the #1 overall and have no problems with it.

The top looks pretty soft for the Bruins. Solid 2 and 3 seeds and a really tough 6, but they only have to worry about 1 of them and nobody had premium side. No excuse for UCLA not to take that Region.
Ole Miss could be a handful in the Sweet 16. LSU could be dangerous too if Flaujae/Morrow are healthy.

Texas at 4 overall. Think this sets South Carolina-Texas and UCLA-Southern Cal* for the Final Four? Idk that the 4/5 is a threat.

*(UConn)

NOTRE DAME AT 3! There’s the first big surprise. Wow. I’d definitely prefer South Carolina’s 3 (and 2). Have fun, Vic.

TCU. Ok. Good year. Good luck.

Idk that I’ll pick Texas to emerge here.

Ole Miss is not fun to play. I just don’t know that they can deal with Betts. Feel like that’s a tough 5 for a generic team, but not for UCLA, if that makes sense.

Healthy LSU on their A game is definitely a threat, but they need to be on their A game twice to even get to the Bruins. FSU is no joke.

Let’s see who is going to beat Southern Cal in the last region. Not UNC Greensboro, but nice dancing. 8-9 winner could be fun.

If K State is healthy, that’s a nightmare. Kentucky is a AAAA contender. Tough out, but shouldn’t win.

Don’t ask a South Carolina fan to rate Oklahoma. We’re a terrible matchup for them, but Sooners could make it interesting for UConn if they get past Iowa.

Good for Arkansas State. They make their tourney debut against UConn. Can’t ask for a bigger stage.

I'd be quite surprised if it's anything but UCONN/USC in the Elite 8. Iowa is the most likely spoiler for UCONN, OU is a weak 3 this year. They haven't seriously challenged any top teams and are poor defensively. And I don't think Kentucky or Kansas State have the horses to keep up with USC.

The Duke-UNC choice is head scratching. As is USC-UConn - we've seen that show before! Sucks for both teams that only one gets to advance.

Honestly, I think Notre Dame was lucky with its region such that I'd take that no. 3 seed and not complain a lick. TCU as their two seed? Yes please.

Duke should have been a #3 seed in TCU's bracket. I'm irate at our bracket

Men’s committee very obviously and consistently adjusts assignments and seeds to make sure there are some “Whoa! Look at that!” matchups.

Women’s committee needs to have the foresight to do the same.

Bracket UCLA-Texas and South Carolina-Southern Cal. Put Duke and North Carolina in different regions. Give UConn Texas instead of a rematch with the Trojans.

This isn’t rocket surgery. Have an eye on the tv matchups and rematches. Men’s game has many more fans and they still do this.

Is that obvious? My impression is that it's selective memory. Everyone forgets the unremarkable ones. If it's obvious to everyone but me, I imagine there must be some empirical evidence that marquee matchups are more frequent than random chance would imply.

My first impressions? Woof.

I'll be paying more attention to the men's tourney until the women hit the Sweet 16.

Texas is the #3 overall seed, not #4. Texas played at Notre Dame and lost by a few points in OT. So, that familiarity would be there if they meet in the Elite 8.

Why? The committee chairman stated rematches didn't play a factor. Teams were seeded based on their bodies of work and an S-curve was followed as much as possible.

TCU / ND would also be a rematch which TCU won. So, rematches galore; it is what it is.

But, wouldn't surprise me if #7 Louisville upsets #2 TCU in Fort Worth, TX.

As someone pointed out, you have the brackets mixed. Its South Carolina / Texas and USC / UCLA if all the number 1 seeds advance. It was not a factor in the committee's reasoning, according to the chairwoman.

LSU is not beating FSU. Wouldn’t be shocked if FSU won by 10+

Ole Miss will upset Baylor
Florida State is one of the worst-coached teams in the field. They might be going home after the first round.
