-Stokes with 7 blocks, Stewart with "only" 2 but she alters a lot of shots.....
- Both Banks *and* Caroline perfect from beyond the arc
- Kelly with more assists (9) than point(6)!

I was "watching" on gametracker and I was wondering if anyone knew if Steph's fouls were due to a breakdown in defense, not thinking, or referee's retribution for Geno's comments.

** SEVEN different players with MADE 3-point FG's...are you kidding me?! Teams that pack the paint this season are going to pay for it! #2hard2guard

** 12 of KML's 13 shots and 46% of UConn's total shots were three's. #(un)settling

** The Huskies allowed HFU to shoot 48% in the first half, but only 11% in the second half. #excellentHTadjustments #wrathofgeno

** 35 assists on 43 made FG's (81%) #greatteamwork

Ref's were a bit picky and inconsistent last night.

And not just alter, but convince them to pass - I think some opponents will look up at Stewart, remember the scouting report mentioning that her arms are even longer than you think, and decide now's the time to go for an assist. Whereas, confronted with Stokes, you think you can get it over her, but you are just plain wrong.

I didn't see it, but welcome to the board.

Stokes' anticipation, positioning and timing have been great so far. If it continues against top tier talent, our three headed long arm monster of Dolson, Stewart and Stokes will make if very difficult for other teams to create anything positive down low. And let's not forget Buck - her weakness have never been defense. I would liked to have seen her attempt at least one FG in the two exhibition games.

Faris, 17 A, 2 TO's in the first two ex-games....not too shabby.

Stewart continues to impress. One one play as she cut across the free throw line she was thrown the ball from the wing while she was in motion - the pass was well behind her her but her "Go-Go Gadget" right arm caught the ball, and while continuing her motion she took one more step and stopped and popped from about 13 ft. It was a tough ball to catch but to complete the entire motion so fluidly only begins to touch at why I believe Geno says she may have the most potential of any player that has ever played.

I love the little game-tracker guy who swats shots down to the opposite end of the court.

Speaking again of Stokes, I'm surprised that her wingspan is not a quotable figure. I know it's not 7'1" like Stewart's, but whatever it is it certainly ain't shabby. Combine that with very strong/wide shoulders and a pretty strong base, and you have an interior blocking machine.

Actually, I'm not new, I just don't post much. I've followed the boneyard as it's moved from site to site. It's kind of how I've been with the Huskies. I haven't been to a game since 2004. My daughter went to the games with me from 1994 until 2002 after she graduated from college. I went one more year by myself, but it wasn't as much fun. I'm still addicted and watch all the games on TV now.

I think most people would like to see her shoot. And she has had the opportunity. At one point last night she grabbed a rebound right under the basket with no one on here and dribbled out to pass it to someone. It would have been easier to shoot and probably a safer option but she didn't even think about it. There was a collective groan throughout the XL center. (as much as can be with so few people :()
