Pap - Been meaning to tell you for a while how much I appreciate all the incredibly convenient linking you do. It's a real public service. :)

I have been thinking for the last month that it would be appropriate to start a thread titled "Three Cheers for Pap!" And show him some huge appreciation for all the links he provides.

So, Amen, Replicant.

Shegog is one of the most naturally talented players in the country. Why in the world is she playing so badly for them? Is it an emoional issue?

A few weeks ago, some on the UNC board were touted her as the leader in the race to be the ACC player of the year. I think those thoughts have cooled just a bit. I think Eric mentioned it in another thread that she was a black hole on offense. I hadnt really paid that much attention to it, but watched her in action tonight... and Eric was spot on. Didnt see her make one pass out of the post.

Just curious... why do you say that she is one of the most naturally talented players in the country?

Prior to tonight, Shegog was leading UNC and the ACC in scoring at 17.5 PPG.

UNC had 4 assists and 25 turnovers. Oh my.
Horrifying. UNC was already reeling after giving away the game to Maryland and had what appeared to be a hangover loss to Clemson. So they weren't coming into Storrs on an emotional high to begin with, and this may just send them into a tailspin for the rest of the season.

Not trying to be overdramatic, but that was a wretched, wretched preformance by UNC. UConn played well, but UConn's primary questions for the rest of the season revolve around getting the better of Baylor and Notre Dame in any subsequent meetings. I don't know that a game like this gives them any answers to that, other than the possibility Kiah will use her performance tonight as a launching point for providing UConn consistent depth in the post.

I see. She was a big reason why UNC had so few assists tonight.

She's huge, athletic, and can shoot from her right and left hands. I would have expected her to do a lot better tonight. And thanks Doggy, for the stats...must have been an off night for her.

Our posts tonight had 21 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 blocks and held the UNC posts to 2-16 shooting, 6 rebounds and 4 points.

All this Kumbaya! I fully expected a few 'Yarders to be snidely pointing out that Kiah didn't have a single assist. Maybe Kaleena's inaccurate shooting caught their attention. And Bria missed a free throw, too.

8 assists for Bria WOW

Lauren... gets a WOW too!

Uconn with 26 assists vs 4 for UNC????!!!!!!
