Did not realize this had happened until I saw it in the stats: Bria played 35 minutes. Indication that she is turning things around and that the coach wants her in there. She had a good game.

Bria has been fine IMO... shots just not falling, always a threat to the opponent. I give Geno credit for his coaching her thru this

Last 5 games.

ND - 33 minutes before fouling out
USF - 32 minutes
Pitt - 36 minutes
SH - 33 minutes
Baylor - 31 minutes

Interesting factoid, the referees swallowed their whistles tonight...and let them play.

UConn 2 - 4
DePaul 6 - 7

Total foul shots taken for both teams combined 11

Beautiful basketball...particularly liked Bria going to the pull up jumper more...if she can hit that shot consistently, it'll make defenses warp nicely...

I'm liking the single-digit turnovers (8)
Heck after the ND game I'd have been happy with 20. ;)

But yes it was great to see them hold onto the ball last night. Much more focused effort.

Bria's body language was great to watch last night - she had swag again!

Agreed re: Bria's pull-up J. A couple times she had a little fade on her jumpers - regardless, several of her midrange shots had a noticably softer arc on them. Whatever works!!!

Absolutely.

One other thing about Bria is her hang time. Not sure i ever noticed it on tv but in person she sprints up, elevates, and her hang time is noticeable as she pauses in the air to collect herself before actually shooting the ball. Pretty athletic and great body control...

I also think her defense is underrated. I watched USF play ND close again - they have very athletic guards, and Bria did a great job guarding her player during the USF game when we played them recently. Her lateral movement is really good. Kelly may be the best defender on the team, but for speed, Bria (and Moriah) are both really good too...
