West Virginia playing hard but I don't know how this Memphis team lost to UTSA.

Actually, not to split hairs, but bowls kicked off on Saturday with the Salute to Veterans Bowl (S. 'Bama over W. Mich). Of course that game was at the same time as UConn/Gonzaga so understood why it was missed.

That being said, I don't know why, but every year I get into these meaningless bowls.

Good game last night. Both teams played hard. Almost a crazy ending when Memphis intercepted a pass as WV was in Memphis territory driving for the go ahead score but instead of kneeling for the win, the kid tried to return the int and fumbled it right back to WV. Replay overturned the fumble saying he was down...

I understand the slide rule, but I don't like ruling the ballcarrier can't fumble once the slide starts. No part of the runner's body was down at the time the ball was punched out of his hands, and there was no attempt to tackle or hit the runner.

So not a lot of interest in JMU, Sam Houston, and UNLV over Cal the past two nights. How about a couple of Fla Bowls this afternoon before the Indiana Super Bowl kicks off?. Tulane vs Florida?

Pitt playing two true frosh @QB, one a walkon. Dugger looks like the real deal. Also Goff, a frosh RB, looks really good. Pitt could have a decent team next year, if they have any defense. The offense should be fun if Dugger takes over as a true pass/run threat. Desmond Reid with Juelz Goff as a backfield is two breakaway threats.

After a ridiculously long review, Pitt lives to fight another day.

Toledo wins. Announcer was right, Pitt blew it not going for it on 4th and 1 for TD in 2nd OT. They kicked a FG. Then they had to score from 3 yards out in each following OT. You'd think 1 yard is easier than 3, right?

ACC could lose three bowl games against G5. Still to come is Syracuse vs Washington State and UConn vs NC. Also with rest of ACC match ups there is a chance that ACC does not win any bowl/CFP games.

From 7-0 and #18 in the country to 7-6 by the end of the season. That is bonkers
Pitt was not the same team that started the season. Definitely regressed. Gave up 2 pick sixes to Toledo, that’s not going to win you many games either.

It is interesting how the ACC has dropped off in both football and basketball.

I thought they were going someplace. Holstein looked great at QB. Until SMU. The Mustangs lived in Pitt's backfield, Holstein had no time to do anything, and was on the ground a lot. I think he had PTSD after that game. He was never the same.

I think the kid who played QB the 2nd half is going to be good, even though he tossed one of the pick sixes. He's everything we wanted Evers to be - able to evade rushers while still looking downfield, ability to gain chunks with his legs, buys time in pocket, accurate thrower who sees the field (except for that pick six, which was the outlier of his performance).
