I didn't know where to post this and didn't want to start a new thread.

Paul Doyle of the Courant, usually a pretty good read has an article titled AAC Notebook....and in it I read this...

Led by Heisman Trophy candidate Teddy Bridgewater, Louisville is viewed by many as a contender for the national title.

Really? Who, Paul, views UL as a national title contender?

As for playing ND in the Pinstripe Bowl.....life could never get that good.

Both the CBS and FS1 season preview shows had someone predict that Louisville would play in the BCS championship.

Even if Louisville goes undefeated and everyone else has 1 loss they won't play in the title game, nor should they. Their schedule is embarrassing, especially thier OOC.

It's sexy to try and pick an outsider. First off it's highly unlikely they go 12-0. Second, like it was said already, their schedule, in and out of conference is too weak.

Here is one person...

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf...ing-flaws-bcs-title-contenders-124253238.html

It has been pretty popular to put them as national title contenders (and then just say that their schedule is too weak for it to come to fruition).

In no way does this reporter state they are a title contender. This statement makes it clear they are not and can not be considered for the NC game.

It starts and ends with the schedule for the Cardinals, who could easily go undefeated and be left out of the BCS title game in lieu of a one-loss team from a more respected conference.

UL is not in the same league as Alabama, GA or Ohio St. If they played Florida again this year I'd bet the results would be different.

They start high enough, they have a chance. Going to need to dominate that schedule and need SEC havoc, but they are alive today.

1. Playing ND in the Pinstripe Bowl would be awesome!
2. I am getting sick of hearing how good Louisville and Teddy Bridgewater are going to be in this conference... we could be shockers, and win the games we need to win to bring the American Championship back to The Rent.
3. ESPN's coverage of The American Conference and UConn has been a joke since the Big East colapse. Hopefully once the season begins and we start winning games it will get better. Anytime they mention the American that's always followed up with some sort of mention about Louisville.

Haha are you serious. Reading comprehension skills, the title of the article is "Red flags: Assessing the flaws of BCS title contenders" and then goes on to list each BCS title contender and their flaw.
