From Sam Vecenie, The Athletic's top NBA draft analyst:
Other Big East Players:
#32 - Jeremiah Robinson-Earl
#41 - Sandro Mamakelashvili
#53 - David Duke
#59 - Romeo Weems
James Bouknight | 6-5 wing | 20 years old, sophomore | Connecticut
Bouknight has been one of the breakout scoring guards of the college season, something that was pretty expected if you read the first mock draft I filed this preseason. He’s averaging over 23 points per game so far while shooting nearly 50 percent from the field. He’s been a bit inconsistent as a shooter, but that’s because he’s Connecticut’s top scoring option and he ends up taking a ton of tough ones. He’s shooting nearly seven 3s per game and has a very translatable skill set for playing the off-guard role in the NBA with the way he creates shots as a driver and cutter. He’s also shown some progress on defense this year. This week’s game against Marquette was actually a bit of an eye-opener in that regard, as he really sat down and defended during Connecticut’s comeback. Bouknight is going to need to improve as a passer and playmaker for others to have the ball in his hands, but there is real upside as a starting two-guard if things come together as he grows into his mid-20s.Other Big East Players:
