Hmm, can't say I'm not surprised. And eventhough Bazz is my favorite guy on the squad, I always had the feeling the other guys didn't respect him much (nor should they naturally do so, stuff like that has to be earned, ya know) and I had that feeling way before he called out the team for having no heart. I think it really showed when at the beginning of the season, the team was saying "there is no leader, we are all leaders..blah blah" from what I could infer (watching from a tv screen) Kemba had more compassion and led through encouragement, plus he had the acolades to back him up in case he needed to get on someones . Shabazz was put in a tough spot trying to lead as a soph, in addition I feel he is/was Calhoun's favorite which may have caused further resentment (especially for a dude like AO, and possibly Scoe)

So is the speculation that Bazz and Boat clashed with each other or that they clashed with the front court?

I thought I saw Bazz sulking a bit at Midnight madness and he seemed to annoy with the Boat. Just an impression, though nothing all that specific.

well if thats the case that just can't happen these guys are going to be playing in the backcourt together for the next 2 years hopefully they can work something out. why would those 2 clash out of all people? Boat was a frosh and Bazz had no minutes taken from him with Boat, he switched to the 2 a few times when Boat came in but thats about it....damn, I hope Shabazz isn't another (not mentioning names...name someone who caused locker room problems, anyone) because I don't think Boat is. I think Boats one of the good guys.

To be honest, the way I interpreted the aau coaches quote (and from what i saw this season) was the guards and the front court clashing. I mean if you think about the shot distribution (back court heavy, which I think was warranted b/c between AO and AD, if we kicked it down low it was a 70% chance of a turnover) but add that with the tremendous shoes that had to filled by Kemba's absence, sure there was going to be resentment with whoever tried to take the reigns. Plus Boat started to take over towards the end of the season (and he's not one for being bashful) I could see a jr like AO or some of the sophs getting salty towards the freshman. All in all with a year added and our obvious defections I don't see it being problem next year or in the future. 2012 was just a bumpy (as hell) transition year b/c Kemba meant that much to the squad.
