The second item is the ability to use the Disney transportation system to get to the parks.    It is much simpler to not take your car and get delivered right at the door.   When you drive to the Magic Kingdom, you park over a mile away and take a shuttle into the park.   Wastes a lot of time, especially at the end of the day.

You need to decide how much you value items like that.   Also staying on-site immerses one more into the Disney experience.    But it definitely is more expensive.   As noted above, Disney's lower-priced resorts, like Port Orleans, are still nice and much cheaper.
