The Boo Williams tourney got underway Friday morning. The cube website used to have the games but I don't see them there anymore. May have to settle for updates.

There is one particular player there with her future coaching staff.

No. 21 is Faith Masonius (2019). Still no evidence of Geno's interest despite the UConn connections.

Faith M struggled a bit through a tough season with a bunch of nagging injuries.....her play improved towards the end of the season and I understand she is pretty healthy right now.........she is such a fundamentally sound player that she will fill a valuable role for some good DI team but I think she lacks the elite athleticism that Geno & Co are looking for........if she was 6'5" instead of 6' things might be different..........

Meg is taller than Shea and nearly as tall as CD. That makes her about 1.05 Hartley Units.

Nice Nike poster/banner on back wall at left

the player in the Nike poster on the right looks familiar too.

Geno watched North Tartan vs Kentucky Premiere Saturday morning. It's possible he was scouting guard Zoe Young, Prospects Nation's #1 player in the 2019 class.

Paige Bueckers, 2020 PG. I saw a tweet with a picture saying Geno was watching 14U so that eliminates Young as she is a rising junior and is too old for 14U. Bueckers is the next big thing from Hopkins High, home of Nia Coffey, Nia Hollie, and other D1 players.

Cool, missed that tweet. Apparently, UConn watched her last year as well. She put up amazing freshmen numbers:

Some of Paige Bueckers' HS games are on YouTube. She has a wow factor and snarl that remind me of one Diana T.

I noticed the resemblance in a game on Youtube. She got undercut on a pass underneath the basket and got up and forced a turnover on an attempted steal. Her "I'm just trying to get better" comment has Husky all over it. I also noticed that she was invited to the USA U16 tryouts.

I believe this is the game you are referring to. She is some kind of impressive. Be stunned if she's not the best player in her class.

If she grows a few more inches we could be looking at the next Breanna Stewart. She is that good and already 6'0"... and a freshmen. She is going to be a special player.

Samantha Brunelle, 6-3, power forward, Team Loaded 2018 Davis U17 (Ruckersville, Virginia)

As might be expected, top level programs were out to see this consensus top 5 national prospect. Brunelle played solid with drives and post-ups and occasional three-ball. With her team winning all but one game at the event, she was not really featured but played more as just one of the squad. She played well enough to please analysts who have her top 5 but not well enough to silence any doubters.

Ky Premiere has some great players coming through their program.

2020 is PG Maddie Scherr. I'm told The Who's who of coaches in the country is looking at her, including your Uconn staff. She plays for the 16/17U team.

2022 Cassidy Rowe is also a PG and is on the 14U team. Don't be surprised if you hear your staff is checking her out, too.

Found a site that documents all stats from Boo Williams, both cumulative and game-by-game as well as shot charts. Even keeps effective FG% and true shooting %.

For instance, Charli Collier had excellent numbers:

16.2 PPG, 7,2 RPG, 64.4% FG 3-5 from three, 77% FT (20-26)

GameChanger

While Christyn Williams struggled a bit:

7.6 PPG, 1.8 A, 38% FG, 2-7 FT
