What are ours? Of course Notre Dame (2009), South Carolina (2010) and #2 USF (2007) & Houston (2015). I'm not sure I'd add the 2022 BC game because that team was lousy. Thoughts?

Not sure of the criteria but one of my favorite games at The Rent was the 2OT win over Pitt in 2006. UConn home win over Baylor in 2008 comes to mind as well beating RG3.

Liberty 2022 was an awesome win. Beat a ranked team and became bowl eligible.

• OT against West Virginia 2010.
• At Iowa St 2002
• The Rent opening game against Indiana 2003
• Pitt - three - 2004; 2006 & 2010. 2010 had big time college football atmosphere

Unfortunately, from a Louisville standpoint, the key word in your sentence was not "shame" but "leave".

The three wins against ranked teams: USF in '07, at Louisville in '12 (hello Mr. Bridgewater, remember Mr. Williams!) and Liberty in '22 are all candidates. Of those, USF was by far the biggest as it lead to a co-championship for us and was the first. Biggest bowl win was certainly the win over SC. Biggest other win in terms of prestige was at Notre Dame, notwithstanding their mediocrity that year (although it was also the game we won for Jazz after three heartbreaking losses), but in terms of importance and quality and excitement, Pitt in '10. Huge win under the lights with Edsall for the only time in his career playing it like a riverboard gambler and drawing to 21.

I watched that game at the Brewhouse in Norwalk with a few Louisville fans/residents. And went to the Louisville games in that era at the Rent. No disrespect to RG3 and Danny O, Bridgewater was the best college QB I ever saw in person

4 wins against ranked teams. Houston 2015. That could be the best one as Houston would have been undefeated otherwise and Houston beat 4 other ranked teams, including Florida State, who was ranked 9th.

Just as a note, each win over a ranked opponent was under a different coach: Edsall, P, HCVV and then Mora.

That USF game was as Cole as I have been. The UConn DE stayed home on the bootleg. I think the USF QB was as surprised as I was that he was there. He wasn’t as happy, though.

Actually, it was Greg Robinson, from (I believe) Scotland, PA. He was our 4th LB who played almost exclusively in goal line situations. And yes, in the first half a misty day turned into about 20 minutes of an absolute downpour. Everyone finished the game soaked.

I feel sorry for those that weren’t in attendance (but not sorry for those that left early) during the Pitt Double OT game. The rent was electric. The energy was insane.

When I was a kid, saw Dan Marino play Army at Westpoint. Was only 10-11 at the time so didn’t appreciate him or who he was at the time.

Geno Smith was pretty darn good as well but White was best QB from West Virginia.

I don't remember that run but remember the game. I was at the Civic Center watching UConn MBB preseason game. The crowd went crazy when it was announced that UConn beat Iowa State. Big moment in football at the time.
