We may not have inside information. But let's see how we compare to the big boys.

Kentucky. He wants to go to Kentucky. They have offered him. Nothing more needs to be said. Liggins and others had good careers there as elder statesmen types. He could grow into that. Or not. He is too smart to choose St. John's, and he certainly has no reason to declare for St. John's now.

This is a lead-pipe cinch (whatever that is) for Kentucky.

If it were Kentucky I feel like he would have already indicated such. I'm leaning St. Johns.

I'm confused as to why you guys are still so invested in Briscoe considering his father basically said UConn bowed out of his recruitment some time ago.

My sentiments exactly. If you pick St. Johns you hope nobody notices.
He views himself as the savior of St. John's basketball... so no better place to declare that you're bringing the Johnnies back... than in front of a national audience on ESPN!

Seems like a Kentucky kid, through and through. Hat ceremonies aren't a UConn thing. I guess St. John's is an outside chance, if he wants to be the face of their program. But I think Cal gets him.

Meant it as a dig on St. Johns vs any thought to logic. Just having some low brow fun.

I think he's going to UK because why else would he declare during the early signing period but not sign till the late signing period and it's not because he wants to see how many kids leave St. John's early

Yes, UK, for the reasons others have given ... also ESPN is all about maximizing value of its properties and they wouldn't give anyone a forum to promote a Fox property (St John's/Big East) or denigrate an ESPN property (no news on UNC scandal).

I know what you're saying F...lol They're going to need a lot more than just IB to "come back". Someone mentioned earlier that he may just announce, without signing, just to leave the Kentucky door open in the spring. IF that happens...then this guy's no leader at all. But if he does sign, then I admire him laying it on the line. We get to see how much of a leader he really is later today!

3rd scenario: Jim Calhoun set up the ESPN announcement. Briscoe's pulling a Dozier and picking the dark horse team. I celebrate by going to Chipotle and pretending that it's god's gift to the earth. I'll instagram my burrito like I'm the only one who's ever tried it.

Good. More highly skilled and disgruntled players being coached by a great recruiter and mediocre coach.
