. . . game tomorrow (1/28) at XL Center will be selected and announced by@StephStorrs.

As some of you know I have a major commitment that will make it impossible for me to view the entire game on TV so I am calling on an enthusiastic Boneyarder who will be at the game to bestow the Boneyard Badass Awards on my behalf.

Thanks to StephStorrs and GO HUSKIES!

My award goes to Gabby. The energizer bunny is all over the floor, and no matter the time, her energy is always high. Another double double game. Gabby led the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Gabby, Gabby she's our Lady, if she can't do it, no one can.

I don't think there's much question. No one in second place.

.-.
It was definitely Gabby especially in the first quarter. I was thinking "where would Connecticut be without her play in that quarter?"

Kia Nurse:

Eight assists +zero turnovers=BADASS!!!

I'll stand by that glorious equation to the bitter end. That was amazing.

29:12 as a team stat is not without its badass qualities as well...

I thought Gabby was our best player today, but Kia was absolutely BADASS the way she took that shot to the face and came back with the stat line and leadership she showed throughout the game. Aside from her 16 points et all, she was an absolute terror on defense and in transition, for every minute she played.

Award goes to whoever advised Kia to go back to a bun for her hair in the 2nd half.

Ha, then it almost certainly goes to Kia herself. She seems kind of superstitious that way. Too bad, though, I thought she rocked that pony tail today.

I wasn't appointed to be The Decider, but I vote for Gabby, which should come as no surprise because I think she deserves the award pretty much every time she suits up. But forget The Badass Award...I think she's the only logical choice for NPOY...and I don't think it's very close. My expectation is that she won't even get first team AA, but, not to worry, Gabby, some of us know what you're accomplishing out there!

.-.
I did award it to Gabby on my separate Badass thread, but I absolutely agree with everything said about Kia. She was rock solid, and the way she came back after that hit is truly Badass as well. Could it be that Thing 1 and Thing 2 share the award tonight? I would be more than okay with the edition of Kia to today's award.

What I also like about Gabby having 2 great games in a row is that it reduces expectations on Lou, who previously had 2 30+ games. That's a lot of pressure on her.

Also badass: 12,316 in attendance. We've seen it before: games in Hartford on weekends draw well.

One element against Kia is her messing with her hairstyle and the mojo, although she does get credit for correcting her mojo assault at half time.

Suspect she straightened her hair and wore the ponytail in anticipation of photos of her 1000-point ball presentation.

While this is truly exceptional---and I believe a Co- winner should be awarded (again) --Gabby with a double double after a triple double is extraordinary.

Shall we march around the Boneyard protesting and demanding Dual winners???

If there is one single item that would remove Any One from getting this award ---it is definitely--MESSING WITH HER HAIR STYLE!!! THAT IS IMPORTANT IF YOU ARE IN THE WHITE HOUSE GETTING YOUR PIX TAKEN.

If you look up ROCK SOLID--you'll find Kia's picture as definition. Kia much like Saniya is solid every night.
But Kia --did the near impossible--gave out 8 assist i.e made 8 passes to people in the scoring lanes --and each ended in a basket--8 assists and Zero T.O's/
