Hey folks. I know I am new but I wanted to get the Boneyard's opinion on research I've been doing. I used to write articles for a not-so-well-known website on UConn sports that is no defunct and I am looking at getting back into it.
Based on how Hurley likes to recruit, the contacts he made while at URI with athletes, and using the top 485 athletes from 247sports I have put a list of viable candidates for Hurley to go after. I was just looking for y'all's assessment of the potential targets below and the likelihood that Hurley would use one of his three (currently) scholarships on them.
I understand this doesn't take into account transfers but I am not 100% up on my transfer game right now. I also know everyone is high on Lecque but seeing he hasn't officially reclassed, I've left him off the list. Thanks in advance!
Brendan Adams PG 6-4/180 3* (90.19) Hanover, MD Former URI Commit
Majur Majak C 7-1/205 3* (87.87) Elizabeth, NJ Crystal Ball Predicts Syracuse
Amir Harris CG 6-5/170 3* (85.56) Hagerstown, MD Rhode Island Decommit Oct 14th
Philmon Gebrewhit SF 6-7/170 3* (85.56) Plymouth, NH Visited Rhode Island on Jun 22nd
Emmanuel Umoffia C 7-1/225 3* (84.50) Putnam, CT Right in UConn's Backyard!
Omar Silverio SG 6-3/170 2* (70.00) Bronx, NY Signs are pointing to UConn being his choice
Matthew Balanc CG 6-3/175 2* (70.00) Silver Spring, MD Received Rhode Island Offer
If Hurley pulled off the top three guys on this list, UConn would have the #59 recruiting class in the country and #2 in the AAC behind Wichita State and their 6-member recruiting class.
